Robert Wright, BPhEd, MA
Bob is a retired Police Superintendent with over 30 years of service. He spent the majority of his time on the Emergency Services side of policing serving with both Hostage Rescue and Canine Units. Bob has significant Emergency and Risk Management experience. His operational experience includes commanding over 50 major incidents such as hostage takings, barricaded armed individuals, and other critical incidents. Bob came to Policing after serving in the Canadian Army including operational experience in the Middle East.Bob has a Master’s Degree from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor’s Degree from Brock University and a Diploma in Police Management from the University of Western Ontario. Senior Associate
Nick Deshpande, rmc, MA, CD, CISSP, CCSP
Nick is a Guelph native and army officer with 14 years of service, including two operational deployments. Since 2014, he has been a member of the army’s primary reserve. Nick has extensive experience with red teaming (adversary simulation), threat modeling, threat and hazard assessment, governance and compliance, business continuity, and physical security.Nick is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Canada (2009), and has a postgraduate degree in Intelligence Studies with a focus on counterterrorism from American Military University (2012). Keri Harrison, BA
Keri is a retired Detective Sergeant with extensive experience as a Homicide Detective and Major Crime Investigator. In addition to Keri’s experience in frontline policing and as a highly respected police supervisor, her work has been featured on the TV show “Murder She Solved” and, most recently, “The Detectives”.Keri she has over fifteen years’ experience as a Crisis Negotiator and has experience dealing with individuals in the most extreme circumstances including hostage takings and barricaded gunman situations.Keri has an Undergraduate Degree from King’s College and a Diploma in Police Management from the University of Western Ontario and is a graduate of the Canadian and Ontario Police Colleges. Senior Associate
Tim Carter, CD, MA
Tim has wide-ranging police and military leadership and operational experience. A retired Lieutenant-Colonel and infantry battalion commander, Tim has served overseas in Europe, Afghanistan and the West Bank. Tim has also instructed extensively at Canadian, US Army and Afghan National Army Command and Staff Colleges.Tim's policing experience includes decades as a Hostage Rescue Operator and Police Explosives Technician and as a supervisor of Tactical and Explosive Disposal Teams. His extensive operationally focused background includes the Vancouver Olympics, G20 Conference, the Pan American Games and over 1000 tactical or explosives incidents.Tim has a Master of Arts from the University of Guelph and two bachelor degrees from Brock University. He is a graduate of both the Canadian Army Command and Staff College and the Canadian Forces College. Tim can be reached at tim@lesconsulting.org.

Emergency Preparedness
For several years, L.E.S. Consulting has been engaged by numerous organizations to develop and validate emergency management plans and facilitate exercises, including tabletop and real-time simulations. Our events are never canned and adhere to your organizational goals and specific hazards. These engagements lead to better overall preparedness, including optimized communication, a better understanding of roles and responsibilities, and improved team dynamic.
Threat and risk Assessment
Either short-term or long-term, our associates will conduct a security assessment for a facility, program, organization, travel, etc. and provide a written report and briefing upon conclusion. L.E.S. Consulting associates have previously done harmonized threat and risk assessments for regional governments, social housing programs, schools, and industry.The scope is established during the initiation phase. An initial consultation is free.
Employee Safety
Across various scenarios applicable to your workplace, we will lead an interactive class ranging from 90 minutes to a full day to address various safety and security issues in the modern workplace.This can include bomb threat, active shooter, aggravated individual de-escalation, and other topics in support of your employee health and safety program.
